DULUTH - Fisherman's Corner, Scott, 7 miles north of Miller Mall on Hwy 53, www.fishycorner.com (218-729-5369)
Lake Superior has a good foot of ice out in front of the French, so that’s been the hot thing going right now.  People are catching cohos and loopers and lakers out in about 120 feet of water.  Inland, crappies are biting on Boulder Lake, and perch are going on Pike Lake in 6 to 8 feet of water.  Walleyes are being found down by Barkers Island area, they are coming in off the lake and staging.  The northern action on Grand Lake has been really good.

DULUTH - Marine General, 1501 London Road, on the edge of Lake Superior, www.marinegeneral.com (218-724-8833)
The big story is out on Lake Superior, this end is frozen with 10 to 14 inches of ice.  Fishing has been good from the Lester River to the harbor.  People are catching lake trout in 40 to 80 feet of water and white fish and herring with jigging raps.  Cohos with small jigs and crappie minnows and waxies.  Lots of fish are being taken.  In the harbor from the end of Park Point to Barker’s island big walleyes are being caught right now.  Lots of them are 30 plus inches.  The best bite is in 7 to 10 feet of water in the mornings up to about 10am.  Swedish pimples with big minnows.  There is 18 to 24 inches of ice in the bay. Stop in and they’ll get you all setup.

If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
