Just wondering....the #1 city in the US, CAWchester, is planning on moving the age to buy tobacco, chew, or any smoking type/tobacco related item to the age of 21....

What's the age where you live? Yer views?

I say this town is kinda heading right down the dictatorship type road...when they already ban smoking in open areas and all parks. No age involved. It's still a legal product.   (I'm not a smoker, either)

Still 18 here.  Seems like Bemidji may have gone 21 but not sure.  21 is a good thing although sort of dictatorship I guess.  I started smoking cuz I saw my friends doing it back when I was a kid.  Way before I was 21 so maybe it will help kids get past the temptations.   My two buddies in Luverne still smoke and it just about does me in being around them.  Sadly it makes me not want to be around them.  Such a shame.  AND expensive too.  I quit when it was about $1.30 a pack.  1987.

I can't stand it, either. And I also avoid those that reek of it. But, when a guy is out say, standing on a trail in a park, and lights up, I say that's his privilege. Too many rules around here to conform to a specific perceived state.

Edina started it around here a while back and some other communities jumped on. Had to laugh though, read something on Hawaii is thinking bumping the age to buy at 100..lol.  Maybe I mentioned it before but the SIL went to Australia last month and a pack ran her 35 bucks.

I have never smoked a day in my life. I think if they are going to raise the age to 21 for tobacco and guns. Then they should raise the age to go to war to 21 also. If you are a legal adult and can die for this country you should have the right to smoke if you choose to.
