that particular pillow is made with one hide and all hide all the way around. that part you see thats a bit thin is from the stomach side you blockhead!!!!!!!

The only ones he'll probably end up seein are Yogi & Boo Boo, or Winnie.

Well, I managed to snag me a surplus bear tag yesterday. So, what are your thoughts on the new rule for using drums and paying the extra $5 per drum? At first I thought the dirty crooks. But now I am thinking that I am going to use the barrels. I figure then I won't have to bait as often saving me a lot of gas money. I will make up the $15 in a hurry.

never really thought about it much. guess when you put it that way it makes sense. but we'll do it the same way. i havent had much of a chance to head to the cabin much so i'll enjoy my time up there. pretty good rush walking in and seeing them logs thrown apart when a bear gets to the bait.

I hear ya on the logs being thrown around. Always loved to see that. I have used the barrel the last couple of years in the no quota on private land and I like it.

 i think boar does to as well as deadeye. i havent paid alot of attention to how they get used??? you bring a barrel out to a spot, fill it up and let Yogi and Boo Boo have at it?????????? dont they carry it off??????????

I chain mine. But ok on state land yu have to. Part of regs.i love the barrel

I chain it to the tree also. I leave some slack in it so the bear can move it around some.

I used my torch and cut a hole about 8" diameter for them to reach into.  I grind it smooth too so the bear isn't getting cut by sharp edges.  Then I cut two 2" diameter holes near the top to run the chain through to keep it on that tree.  They can reach into the 8" hole easily and get a meal.  Takes them a long time too.

We seen 1 last week. The population is coming back up for sure. But that was the DNR's goal when they lowered the number of tags for hunters.
