With fish-house removal deadlines in the rearview mirror and melting snow revealing what once was hidden, conservation officers across Minnesota are finding messes like this one. This photo and others provided by the DNR are blowing up social media.

Pretty sure the DNR keeps an eye permanent houses that dont move for a while.  They otta grab em by the scruff and make em finished what they started..

iffin that's anywhere around central part of the state or south there gonna need a boat. that ice doesnt look to safe to me.

Just seeing the garbage and crap on that floor is a direct indication of what kind of scumbags we are dealing with!

3-4 years ago there was a fish house that was left out past the deadline. Some of us finally went out to check it out and it was froze in like that, garbage laying all over out side and inside. It was nothing fancy either, made of chip board. I think it was one of those house that people were cooking meth in. A day after I was out there my neighbor was out there checking it out and he happened to look down at the ice and seen their shelter license froze into the ice. So he chipped it out and called the game warden. Need lees to say they got caught. The sad part is the DNR is still who had to take care of it and all they did was burn it down.

Pretty clearly we need to ban ice fishing houses.
