Tubing crash sends 2 to hospital :doah:

Aug 12th 2019 - 6pm.

:police: Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office boat division.

FIFTY LAKES -- A 52-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy riding together on an inner tube were injured when it crashed into a wake boat Sunday, Aug. 11, on West Fox Lake in Fifty Lakes. :doofus:

 :coffee: ....
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was called at 12:59 p.m. to the water incident. It was reported a pontoon was pulling an inner tube with two passengers on it, when the pontoon swerved sharply to avoid a wake boat pulling out from its dock causing the tube and tubers to collide with the wake boat. One tuber -- Austin Isbirian, 12, Bordentown, N.J. -- was thrown into the wake boat causing minor injuries to himself and passengers in the wake boat.

The other tuber -- John Isbirian, 52, Bordentown, N.J. -- was thrown into the water unconscious and face down. Passengers in the wake boat jumped into the water and rescued the tuber who was eventually flown to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries, the sheriff’s office reported.

The driver of the pontoon, Mary Jost, 61, Plymouth, and the driver of the wake boat, Gary Paul, 74, Fifty Lakes, were not injured.

(Stuff like dis is why I refuse ta book any weekend guide trips any longer.) :tut:
