My grandson's girlfriend never fished before so that was the plan.  There would be 4 of us so that would be too crowded in my boat. So I got a launch on Mill Lacs.  Went to Terry's Harbor because my daughter and her husband went there and they said they liked the people there. 

Well Bill, our guide took us to 10 feet of water with rocks and we caught smallmouth right away.  Night crawlers were the key.  I caught the biggest 18 1/2 inches on a hump of rocks in 20 feet of water but it was the only one caught on a leech.  I was thinking walleye's there.  Bill said that they have been getting walleye's in the 10 foot area during the day but early and late afternoon which he said normally doesn't happen this time of the year.

All of us caught fish and I will be doing this again for sure.  good luck.
