Was reading over on IDO, that Somerset city council put the cabosh to tubing on the apple river. :angry2: :confused
: :tut: :tut: friggin radicals. Sounds like a lawsuit is coming.

My step dad owns property on that river but away from the tubing.

Man I remember, barely,  a few weekend trips there in my younger days. :wowza: :wowza: :hubba: :hubba: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

Yes, I saw the story on the news last night.  The council chambers were packed.  Everybody who spoke was against the ordinance.  The ordinance passed unanimously.

More government serving the people.   :mad1:

You can't ban that on a public waterway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's natural scenery!   Someone needs a thrashing, and I'm just the guy to do it!!   training-087

Yes.  Now families with small children can go down to that riverside parks and have picnics and not be disturbed by drunk, rowdy tubers coming off the water.

Still, something is fishy here.

All 4 float companies put in at River's Edge, but only two get out at the city park.  Where do the other two get out?

I haven't been down the Apple for decades, so I don't remember how it all works.

I went down that river back in the day a few times.  After a few times with a few beers like most on the river I realized the river had part water and part urine on the busy weekends on hot days.  So then I found a nice ledge to sit on and drink beers and just watched the babe's floating by.  Once in awhile after a few beers and getting braver I raised my t shirt to some of the gals and some lifted their tops, although few.  Good times.  good luck.

My understanding is that the other two float companies either own or lease the exit areas they use.

Dang, I'm sure this will get turned around once the area bizz folks get involve.  Heck, it was the only place when I was 17 I could get a whole 12 pack of beer for free right out of the water, from all the loose ones floating down!  :sleazy:   :happy1: :rotflmao:
