I hope not!  My back is just starting to feel better from shoveling last weekend.  If we get 20 inches I might just say forget work and stay home until it melts.  The liquor store is close enough that I can walk there so I would be ok with not being able to drive my car.

 Let'er Buck!!

We got six sleds that need some exercising and I have a hankering for a strange burger and a beer from some far off watering hole.

Besides, we really need the moisture. The water table in my well has dropped 10ft during this drought

Buff, I did the math, you got a few sleds that are not gonna get any exercise.

MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL BEGIN AFFECTING THE METRO AREA BY THIS EVENING, WITH
SNOW EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY 6-7PM BUT POSSIBLY EARLIER OVER THE FAR SOUTHERN
SUBURBS.  SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE 2-4" THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
ON THURSDAY.  THERE COULD BE A BREAK IN THE SNOW LATE TONIGHT, WITH PERHAPS
SOME AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE DEVELOPING.  THE BRUNT OF THE STORM IS
EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE METRO FROM LATE THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS ON FRIDAY, WHEN SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF AN INCH OR MORE PER HOUR ARE
LIKELY. EAST/NORTHEASTERLY WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED TO GUST ABOVE 30 MPH AT
TIMES ON THURSDAY, BRINGING CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING.
THERE COULD POSSIBLY BE SOME SLEET MIXED IN ON THURSDAY MORNING, OTHERWISE THE
PRECIPITATION (OUTSIDE OF PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE LATE TONIGHT/EARLY THURSDAY)
IS EXPECTED TO BE ALL SNOW.  ADDITIONAL ACCCUMULATIONS OF 9-12" ARE LIKELY BY
6AM FRIDAY, WITH ANOTHER INCH OR TWO EXPECTED DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY.  TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 12-18" ARE EXPECTED FOR THE METRO AREA
, WITH A FEW ISOLATED
SPOTS POSSIBLY SEEING SLIGHTLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.  SNOW CHANCES WILL END LATE
FRIDAY NIGHT.  THE WEEKEND IS LOOKING DRY.
