  • AKA "Outdoors Junkie"
For the last a couple weekend the wife and our daughters have been going out to our local winter recreation area. We have a couple sets of XC ski's and four pairs of shoe shoes. There is a local nonprofit that keeps the trails groomed nicely and they even have trails for fat tire mountain biking.

Anyone else enjoy snowshoeing or xc skiing?

XC ski'd for many years. Great fun doing hills and woods on a clear, crisp night under a full moon....peaceful, quiet.

Where'd you get that clip of glenn, Leech?   :rotflmao:

Anaway, I got snowshoes about 25 years ago to read the gas meter ~ 1/4 mile down in the field. Used them many winters for exercise too, going up and down the monster snowbanks on the 1/4 lines. Open country so I got Alaska type wooden snowshoes. They could use a coat of marine varnish and the lace tightener on the one binding needs replacement. They've held up well tho and are a blast to use especially when cabin fever sets in. The nap after I get back is even better!  :happy1:

All kidding aside I used to use XC-Skis and Snowshoes for bunny hunting.  Fun and the only way you could get back in the wood.   :happy1:
