HEY!  I hate to admit that I already miss a football game on the weekend.  It is fun to watch movies and will any time the wife wants to.  BUT we are both big Vikes fans.  Well I even wondered about BB but just haven't gone there yet.  So here the guys on SKOR are talking about the XFL which starts Sat at 2 on CBS. I will be tuning into it to see how it works.  Young guys trying to break into the sport and NFL guys that got cut will be playing.  Games at 2 and 5 every Sat. and Sun.  CBS FOX and ESPN.  Looks like 8 teams.

I think its vince mcmahns league that went belly up years back. you know the guy from WWE wrastlin.

Just did a little checking into it too & I didn't see anything about smaller fields. 1st game is 3 our time today on ABC if you want to give it a look.

Ya it is him.  Hey now I don't want to piss anyone off and this is kind of funny considering our Political discussions.  About 10 years ago I saw a documentary on that other league.  Just happened to be on TV.  Trump having big bucks got involved with that and was the big guy in the deal it seems.  They were going to have their league during NFL offseason.  They had coaches, teams, stadiums all lined up and were ready to go.  Denny Green I remember was going to be one coach.  Was going to be great place for players to get recognized.  Then Trumps says they are not going to play in the NFL offseason.  We are playing when the NFL does.  They couldn't change his mind and that ruined the whole league.  People lost a lot of money due to it.  I would like to see that Doc. again if I could find it to verify this.

Says in the XFL schedule the game is at 2 ET so 1 our time but it is not on the TV Guide here on CBS.  Have to keep checking.

Yeah LPS, it's 1 our time but the schedule I looked at didn't mention CBS just ABC, Fox, FS1, or ESPN.

hey now that was one thing I got to watch!!!  was it a great race, no, was it interesting...  yuppers!!!  the crash at the end with Ryan Newman was WOW!!!  today they say he's awake and talking...

I'm just not big on the fact that cup rules (Daytona is a NASCAR cup series) say you can bumper hit and push another car. Doing that at 205 MPH is like doing a pit maneuver if yer coming down off the angled wall; you'll track right across and then yer into a wall or airborne. Drafting and leap-frogging to scoot a teammate ahead, ok, but the push....that's what Logano was doing the entire race, and caused two multi-car wrecks. Just do not agree with that.
