Does anyone know which resorts have plowed roads out at least a mile or two?  Primarily the West Side?

Anyone up for some Jumbos this weekend?  I might be making my only trip of the year this weekend...  Who's with me?  I need a hole driller because my shoulder is not well yet.  You drill the holes I will get you on fish.  Better yet Bring your sled and I will get you on fish...

Rocky Reef has a few roads out, including one to the second hump.  Only a few steps away was where that 13" was caught last year.

I could drive to one of your houses and we could all drive up together (Scott, Leech, Me) I dont have a problem drilling a lot of holes.

You and Leech are not too far from each other.

I do have the voyager but I don't know if we will need it.  It supposed to be 40 degrees.

Well lets see...you either caught them or you didn't. If you didn't catch tem you probably wouldn't be on here now....you'd probably still be pouting...sooooo.....I'm going to say that you caught about 12 perch and you had a couple real nice ones and the rest were average with some small ones mixed in. Color and bait probably didn't mater just find the fish and they are hungry. And you were in 22 feet of water. End of story....thanks for stopping by ;D

haha you are all so WRONG !!

ok heres what i found..
well today was a disappointment..
headed out from rocky reef resort with big hopes of finding the jumbo perch but sorry to say i didnt find them found many walleyes and smaller perch but not what i was looking for..i try upsizeing and downsizing didnt make much difference what i tried they were very finicky..

will try again this weekend ..
PS there's still about 2 feet of snow on the lake so if you plan on going take a snowmobile ! some of the snow is soft while some of it very hard..

Thanks for the report Iceman.  Was Jon out there searching also with you?  I think after a few days of warm temperatures the Jumbos will be going.

Pat, Leech Angler, and whom ever else (Pat talk with Bill)...

I got the OK from the war department for the last ice trip of the season for me.  :'(  How about we leave the cities around 6:30 Saturday 3/10 should be fishing by 8:00.  I do have two other buddies interested in going, so if you two want to ride together, I will bring up the other two.  That gives us at least 5 guys making swiss cheese out of the SW side of the lake in search of teh jumbos.  I don't know how much off roading we will be able to do, but if either of you has a truck, bring a tow strap JUST INCASE!

More details will be hammered out in the next few days.  I will get all my perch spots loaded into the H2O and away we go.

Thanks Iceman...  Will call up there later this week and see how they are doing, I anticipate by Friday they should be turned on pretty good.

We might actually venture to the East side.  :o :o
