Not to be picky, but I’m pretty sure Bud lives in Bloomington, or certainly did at that time. He has always had a big garages sale every year with lots of Viking memorabilia and a bunch of his outdoor stuff sold, for charity, I think.
Having said that, he does own property in Wisconsin. I also completely agree that his position on Mille Lacs was ill advised, and if he had not been involved maybe things would be better today. Makes me think he might not be much of a poker player.

Buds a good guy. He tried to lend his name to something thinking it may make a diffreance but it was just way to big for him or anyone person. But as the figure head he took a lot of heat.
Cooking over a open fire is all fun and games until someone losses a wiener!

He stuck his nose in and blew up the deal the DNR and state had with the local bands.   Would that have worked out better?    I guess we will never know.
