This is our little sheltie, shadows sidekick. Unfortunately that may have been the last time she goes to the cabin. She's pushing 17 and is really starting to struggle. But she is my little girl.

Just got back from the vet. He's an 80 lb lug.

Has an ear infection and fleas!! me no understand, been pretty frugal with the flea and tick stuff. But I know when this started. Right after he went on that 7 hour tour of the town a while back.

Mayhaps those fleas are actually crabs from the neighbor lady.

  with a super heavy heart we put this little girl down today. I cried like a baby. This sheltie has had my heart from the day we brought her home. I feel lost already. I'm taking her to the cabin next week and bury her up there  THIS SUCKS.

Really sorry to hear that, Glenn.  Those are some if the saddest days I’ve ever experienced. It does get better, because you’ll always remember certain things about every one of them.

It's so tough, they are so loyal to us. Sorry again Glenn but it does help having another in the house to help absorb the loss, giving extra lap time to get you guys thru the day.  Keep your chin up, she wouldn't wanted any other owners...

Thanks guys, means a lot. Sitting here in my chair with shadow on my lap I'm pretty sure he realizes Star is no longer with us. 

Sue said when I left with her to the vet shadow whined like crazy. Pretty sure at that point he wasn't happy about not being able to go with.

it sure was wierd last night and this morning with only 1 dog to feed and spoil with treats!!!!!!! 

having a hard time putting away Stars food and food dish!!!!!!! it may be a few days!!!!!!!

he mostly goes down there when i'm down there. he's always pretty close to me.
