Only in alaska where you can be relaxing and have your neighbor come along to check things out, must both be waiting for the salmon to start running.

This video of alaskan brown bear above the brooks falls in Katmai national park is fun to check out throughout the summer, pretty sure the kings and maybe the silvers are running right now so you can watch these critters fish ,seen other video's of bears walking up on folks observing the salmon runs, kinda spooky when these big ole bruins are eye to eye with ya,no thanx, these browns are 2x larger than grizz as a rule but genectically the same just browns are coastal, diet has more protein(salmon)

That bear in the video looked like it was counting all the other bears down in the river.

And in a way, he might have been.  Maybe he was sizing up his competition and figuring out which bears were fishing the prime spots.

It truly is amazing they neither fear humans or see them as food when the salmon run is on.
