Ya, I posted that too....... I was on a roll. :azn:

McCartneys always was knocking a lot of other rockers for "lack of talent".
Maybe because hhe never really understood just what it really was. Spent too much time listening to sitar music and exploring his "inner mind".
That brings to mind one with a really hot-licks strummer...Noogie...at his earliest!  Take THAT, McCartney!!!    :moon:  :rocker;

Reminds me of when Springsteen got pissed at the Republicans for playing his son "Born in the USA" at political rallies.

He saw a bunch of political rivals using his song to demonstrate their pride of being Americans when the song is really about the shame we should feel about the mistakes made during the Viet Nam war.

Same with this Stones' song.  People are too stupid or lazy or ignorant to use critical thinking to understand what songs are really about.

All those guys (Stones, Zeppelin, Beatles) wanted to be "Blues" bands in the early days of Rock and Roll in England.  Nothing to see here, citizens.  Move along.

Same with Fogarty. Not many understood (or do yet) his stance on politics /referral to Vietnam with his songs.

  • Twins fan.
Anybody who likes a old western or 60's era Cowboy & Indians show better record it now. A year from now they will be as extinct as common sense.

just watched John Wayne in "the Cowboys" last nite. No commercials. Was nice, no BS and yapping interruptions, just an enjoyble movie. Don't really like westerns, but any Clint Eastwood one I'll watch in a heartbeat.

Me too. I watched "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" a few weekends ago sans commercials. Only bad thing was there was no break to pee!  :confused:

I'll admitt I'm a western junkie,anything clint is great,no replacing clint as a cowboy,recent years "gunsmoke" even the re-runs I'll watch a few times iffin it's one with festus is on,always pick something up or saying new.Kinda like some of the older audie murphy westerns as well,dry humor. seems today our culture has little new entertainment on the telle.
