I have some points I need to use up too.  Not too many but I will use them on something Made in USA if they have anything still made here.

According to Scheels, their gift cards do not expire. Cabela's however will cancel your credit card for lack of activity and your point balance goes bye bye.
That's good if they don't expire than. And no worries about lack of activity on my cabelas card.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Apparently there are many people who pay interest on their balances instead of paying them on time. This is a win for those who use credit cards responsibly.

I was going to suggest this...  a fine American made knife, but...  the Cabelas/BPS stock is limited availability and only ship to store options - not home delivery.

Cabelas.com:  Knives of Alaska Bush Camp Knife

What kind of service business model is that in a post-Covid economy?     Yes, the Cabelas sale to BPS ruined them.

P.S.  They used to carry a large variety of Knives of Alaska products before BPS, and now just one style and in low availability.  But maybe that is just on line inventory, and maybe if you were to walk into the store, they'd have all kinds of choices.

Good luck.

I remember when they came to Minnesota and opened the Owatonna store. That was a big deal, made the drive from Princeton down there quite a few times. Hell, I think Galyons was still around back then.

Back when they were going in Brooklyn Park there was a B/Bro's store and when that closed down a Herter's moved in for a short time before they also closed.  There was also a Herter's outlet in Crystal, mn as well.
Growing up Holiday stores were a one stop shop.  I remember very clearly Holiday in Bloomington having racks of old beat up WW II Mauser's and Enfield's in wood rack right before Deer hunting, for a very crazy high amount of $169 dollars!  :rotflmao:

I wanted one bad!! But at like 12 my Mom wouldn't let me get one!  :pouty:

Thing I prefer with the cabelas is you can continue to build points until you decide to use them. When they send you the 25.00 gift card it will expire after a certain amount of time.

as are most gift cards...    I have over $500.00 at Cabela's and see nothing I want to buy...
hey buddy I'll put them to good use!! :happy1: :rotflmao:

And I don't believe it's legal for gift cards to expire. :tut: :moon:

Ah yes,"burger brothers"  started out small, little shop in edina, well known for high end hunting and fishing equipment, I got into steelhead fishing in the mid 70's when minnesota had steelhead runs on the north shore of lake superior, burger brothers had a few fly fishing purist employee's that were very knowledgable and good sales people, after one long afternoon cativated by one of these fly fishing purist I walked out of that BB store loaded with information,a new 8' 8wt steelhead fly rod ,martin reel, new chest waders and all the fixins for DIY yarn flies...

when BB expanded I ended up working at the brooklyn center store one summer,we nick named "Bud and Ted" Burger "Ham and Limb"...the boyz didn't appreciate our humor

On the brighter side last spring I got a Cabela's "gift certificate" when I bought a locator. It was valid for 60 days. When it was close to expiring I attempted to order something on line. I had an issue with availability and called customer service. After doing some research on the product, the agent marked the "gift certificate used and sent me a regular "gift card" as a replacement.  Cool beans. I haven't been there since and still have the gift card.   :azn:

OIC ,another gander or fleet farm eh.

Today in my old age aquiring  thing's/ gear over the years pretty much set, since I sold my fishing boat a couple years ago, seldom shop in these stores...Only needs now and then is ammo but even recent ammo purchases has been online, easy peasy, one exception,"dog food"
local feedmill get's me to walkin.

This plus walking into a sporting goods store, with my check book,cc cards a guy can get into trouble with "want buying",need purchasing goes out the window for me.
