I think you can still call them the Indians here. I still call North Dakota the Sioux.

A real nice start from Bundy, Duffey struggled a bit again, but the rest of the pen look really good. Almost all of the damage was done at the top of the lineup again. A couple knocks at the bottom though & 1 was the 1st of the season.

Sano is really struggling.....down to the bottom of the lineup. Still looking for his first hit. He'll come around.

He has looked good with the glove. If Alex Kirilloff was hitting he would be at 1st and Gordon would be in left. I'm not a Sano fan, he either doesn't understand hitting or he doesn't care. I don't know if those 30 homeruns a year make up for the strikeouts and double plays he hits into.

If I was pitching against him....I would throw breaking pitches that dive outside. He just can't resist swinging at them.

To my mind they don't, but what do I know.  They keep hoping he'll figure something out, but it just ain't happening.

They are afraid he becomes another Ortiz if they trade him.

Clayton Kershaw has a perfect game against the Twins through 6. He has struck out 12 of 18 hitters. Pitch count is under 70.

Dodgers pulled him with a perfect game. 7 innings, 13 strikeouts.

It's 6-0 so Glenn you are right about the fat kid. He seems to hit 'em when they don't count.

Well they were dominated today. Had 1 hit, zero runs. Finish the home stand 2-4 despite pretty good pitching over-all. The bats once again are off to a slow start. 2 errors.

Off to Boston where they easily can get swept if the bats don't show up.

Alcola & Kirilloff went on the DL. so thats not good either.

Dodgers are the best team in baseball and picked to win the World Series.

Why would the manager remove a pitcher who has a no hitter through 7 innings? Must have been pith count.

Not only a no hitter, a PERFECT game. They do it so they don't get fired if the pitcher gets hurt.

I guess he asked to be taken out after 80-85 pitches. Tough choice.

 I believe Kershaw would rather pitch in another WS game or 2 & help win another ring than have the perfect game. He had arm issues at the end of last season again & ended up on the IL unable to pitch in theplayoffs as well. Many pitchers are not "stretched out" to regular season form yet either because of the shortened spring training.

Forgive me Ken but I'm not buying what they are selling. You are a sure fire HOF pitcher known as a tough competitor. You are absolutely mowing the Twins down. They look like they were taking foam pool noodles up there to bat with. You just did the 7th inning on 10 pitches. You are heading towards the bottom 1/2 of the Twins order and you want out? Clayton Kershaw? No, I'm not buying it.

In the long history of baseball there have been 23 perfect games, he isn't walking away from that opportunity no matter what spin they try and put on it.

 Looks like he's smiling & talking of "bigger things" when walking in to the dugout after coming out of the game here to me.  https://news.yahoo.com/dodgers-clayton-kershaw-back-healthy-133013716.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

Well....he made the decision not the manager.....

"Kershaw dispatched Twins batters in one-two-three fashion until he hit 80 pitches in his season debut. With the lockout shortening spring camp, Kershaw was built up to only about 75 pitches and six innings. Roberts consulted him after the sixth, and Kershaw made the call that he wanted to pitch one more before stopping around 80-85 pitches."

Said Kershaw: "I mean, I would have loved to have stayed [in the game]. But bigger things, man, bigger things."

Twins can't hit a lick. They are behind 4-0 again today in Boston.

Sounds like Buxton is out for a week and Gray went down today with a hammie. He'll miss 2 starts I would guess.

I don't like this Larnach kid. He just seems so baffled up at the plate. Maybe he will come around although the fat kid never has.

Early, early game start Monday in Boston. Should be a afternoon game tomorrow.

Twins are one of the worst hitting teams in baseball. 29th out of 30 teams. Only Arizona is worse. Not expected.

Exact opposite of what we were expecting. Supposed to be good hitting and suspect pitching. Yesterday's lineup had 7 guys hitting under 200. No wonder they can't score any runs. I know it has only been 12 games. But come on!!!

Buxton back in the lineup today.
