Amen to everything he said.  Even pulling bows back in later stages of life can cause injuries that may hurt forever.   I shot Boars and thought it was pretty fun since I have never bow hunted.  I have had 4 shoulder surgeries and I feel great.  They all worked and I don't want to get injured just to shoot a bow.  Well I got a great deal on a used whole set up and it is great!  Ten-Point.  I shot a bear the first year and it was cool as heck to be quiet when shooting it.

Ok have tossed around the idea of getting a crossbow. But I have a few years to go yet where I could deer hunt with it. I do enjoy the challenge of drawing the bow at the right time a the deer approaches and not be seen or heard. The bow is also like physical therapy for my right shoulder. I have pain in that shoulder alot and when I shoot a lot it helps my shoulder feel better. Seems weird, but it helps.
Hey look your bobber is up!
