Or do, I have lots of time on my hands and I'm sure boredom will kick in ( see the morning thread). Anyhow I'm not much of a t.v. fella but might have to, I currently turned on the weather channel and a really neat show Highway thru Hell was on. Cool stuff big rig wreckers pulling anything and everything out of ditches in the mountains.  Anyway I've seen just a few episodes of Yellowstone,  I'm thinking on starting from season 1 and try to catch up.  Anything else you guys  recommend?

If you’ve got Amazon Prime, The English is a short series that’s pretty good. 1883 is a prequel to Yellowstone. Justified is a longer series that you might like. If you haven’t watched Longmire it’s pretty easy to get into and entertaining. Those all have sort of a western flavor.
Dark Winds is another one based on books by Tony Hillerman.

The First 48 on A&E. It's about cops around the country solving homicides. They even do Minneapolis. It's a reality type show vs something like Blue Bloods or S.W.A.T.

The wife watches Hallmark but I don't cuz I just can't keep my mouth shut saying funny stuff.  (I think it is funny)  So she watches it in the bedroom.

We're Dr. Pol addicts because of the livestock primarily & with dogs too, but it's interesting to see all the goofy other stuff that shows up on that show.

I’m addicted to the first 48

If you have Amazon, give Bosch a try.

Saw just one Bosch on Tv, but I’ve read every book by Michael Connelly. The TV episode was good, but like most of these book to movie deals, I’ve already got the people pictured in my head and the actors don’t always live up to that image.

I told my Vet that I may not need his service anymore cuz we watch Dr Pol and Dr Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet.  LOL  We are looking for a series to watch now too.  Especially once football is over.  So what is this Bosch thing? Is it a detective thing?

Harry Bosch is a retired LA detective.  Having seen only one episode, I can’t say how closely the series follows the books, but I plan to get back to watching it sometime. In the books, he is usually at odds with his superiors in the LAPD before he retires.

That is a good show. Da wife and I watched 1883 this weekend out in the fish house. That was pretty good too.

That is on our list to watch too JB.  So what is up with the show 1923?  Is it another phase of Yellowstone?

1923 is the characters from 1883 40 years later. For me, it’s a little hard to determine exactly who a couple of the new characters are.  Harrison Ford is the older Tim McGraw, and Helen Mirren is the older Faith Hill.
I’m guessing they will need to do a “1963” or something like that to fill the gap up to the current Yellowstone.

So if  Helen Mirren is the older Margaret Dutton. Why give her an accent in 1923 and not in 1883?

I thought the same thing. I read that it was Helen Mirren’s idea to go with the accent.
