Slight chances here for Tuesday-Wednesday but that's as good as it'll get for a while. Heat has pushed this corn & soybean crop hard and the upcoming encore performance will do neither of them any favors. A lot of guys are already getting antsy. Good grief. They need some livestock. That'd cool their jets in a hurry.  :doah:

Had 90 here a little after 5, only 42% RH though, that was closer to 95% 12 hours earlier.

We had another quick shower just before 11 & 1 just went through about 12:30. Might've been .1 total, but I doubt it.

Just walking out of the grocery store and the rain wailed on me.  Of course Jake and Cooper had their heads out of the window of the ol Ford looking for me so they have wet heads too.  LOL  Great to see it raining.  Hope it keeps up for awhile. Getting lots of thunder too.  Jake isn't sure what to think of that.

This last stretch of hot dry days has really made an impact on the crops. At least on how they look from the road. I don't think rain will impact this year's crops.

We got 1/2" of rain.  Just had local weather warning of high winds and 5' waves on LOW tonight.  Bad weather with it.

I was part of a U of M Extension podcast this morning with Tom Hoverstad and that's pretty much what he said. The possible exception might be some of the replant corn and soybeans. The only thing rain might do there is stop the bleeding and make it less worse as my friend liked to say. I mowed the lawn yesterday and was amazed to see the dandelions shriveling up.

Makes you wonder if the crops will come out early.  Call me soft but I don't mind the heat at all, I work in it, cook in it, fish in it and even sit patio side in it. I just can't sit patio side in the dead of winter without my beverage freezing...
