Cooper is adjusting pretty good.  This morning when we were outside the pup kept jumping up at Cooper so he is jumping around too.  Pretty funny.  The wife said she heard Cooper growl a little at him once.  I think it will all be ok but we keep a real close watch on the situation.  The pup is so small yet.  Bob has been a no show so far.  She can lay on my office chair and watch the action and seems ok with that so far.  She trained Cooper so hopefully she does a good job with Jake too.

I am being sure to love Cooper and keep hugging and talking to him.  He seems to like being with Jake when we are outside.  Keeps trying to get Jake to chase him.

Cooper actually has been going into his toy box and getting his favorite things out and laying them on the floor to bait Jake into taking them.  Funny to watch.  Jake grabs Coopers tail sometimes too and that gets a rise out of Cooper, his isn't too crazy about that.

We had dog toys all over the place.  Saw somewhere, mayhaps one of you guys, had a toy box.  The wife got one and it is so fun to see which toy Cooper gets out of it.  He pokes around until he finds the right one.  Fun to see the thought process he goes through.

Dogs r funny that way.  I like it when they go thru a box of tennis balls just to find the right one.

Well the puppy still has not had an accident in the house.  (knocked on wood)  He loves going outside so as soon as he squeels we are out the door with him.  The wife is taking lead as she really loves him and I just follow directions.  Today he actually ran all of the way around the outside of the house following Cooper.  He can now make it up all of the steps on the deck.  The going down part isn't as smooth but it doesn't slow him down.  He is sure a little guy.  Has a loose stool but starting to solidify more. Tomorrow we are back to reality when the wife goes back to work.  That will put more pressure on me.  LOL   We shall survive!

Cooper and Jake are great buddies.  Since Jake is all Golden Retriever he is getting longer hair. They have the same dad and are real similar in things they do.  Fun to watch them together.

I have a paper with his registered father and mother.  I think I said already they have the same father who is a 95 lb Golden.  Jake is 5 months old.  He was real small when we got him.  About 8 lbs at 7 1/2 weeks.  He is about 36 lbs now.

So Jake has been in the boat a few times but for short trips on the river.  We did go fishing today.  Was windier than I thought it would be.  Very nice out.  Were out for a couple of hours total.  SO the wind was strong out of the east.  All of a sudden I smell some farmer must have been spreading fertilizer.  Hmmm.   Finally weakened.  Well when I went up to pull anchor there is a pile of dog doo right by the anchor rope.  I didn't even get upset.  Just cleaned it up.  I love him.  LOL

Oh ya, no fish and noone else was catching them other than a smallmouth a boat by me netted.  Didn't even see any bait fish and I was looking for them.  And Jake was very very good in the boat other than one blooper.

Could be nerves, more time out will cure that, he is young yet but when ya gotta go ya gotta go. Not hijacking lps but our first lab of many yrs ago jumped out of our pontoon while sunny fishing to lift his leg on the shoreline,  dogs sure do funny things.

Two hours was just too long for him to hold it.  A lot of times my dogs peed and pooped when heading for the boat.  He will learn.

Well I was doing my stretches on my matt in the front room today.  Cooper comes and stands right over me and was looking at Jake.  I look and here my money clip fell out of my pocket with a fresh $50 bill in it and he had just eaten the $50 bill.   I told the wife she can have it once he poops it out.  LOLOL   Gotta love em.  He is more  valuable  now.  I will look for it. Cooper was trying to tell me what Glenns dog's half brother was doing, I just didn't realize soon enough.

50 bucks, ouch! Maybe you'll luck out and it'll be still intact tomorrow! Them young pooches will chew on just about anything.  I've been eyeing up the calendar 10 weeks or so our 4 legged little Remi tormenting monster comes home..
