Twins won a playoff series last year.................remember ? Toronto was the Wild Card & the Twins beat 'em 2 straight.

True dat. They've come close in recent years. The hope is one of these times they'll break thru and win it all again. It is one sport the transfer portal hasn't affected to the degree it has football and basketball. Players are already drafted so they know where they're heading.

I wish them well against Omaha. Last year was there year, an outstanding line up with some bad coaching in the championship game. I think they win tonight but won't make it to St. Paul unfortunately.

i think the past 2 years would of been there years...... yea i kinda agree boober.....not near as talented this year.

Dotch mentioned it earlier that the portal doesnt affect hockey as much.........but what does is them leaving early to turn pro!!!!!!

      I got confused. I saw Boston College beat CCHA champs Michigan Tech. But then I saw Minnesota will play Boston University. Too many Bostons.

Well, there's 3 Michigan teams in the tournament ! 2 are playing each other now.

Earlier game the puck hit the ref, the goalie was going behind the net to stop it, hit the the ref and in net it went, but was waved off.

In regard to the portal. With the kids going pro early the portal won't effect hockey much. If you think about it a portal type system is what has kept Minnesota hockey where it is for years. In Gopherland the stud high school players know they are going to replace another stud who will turn pro. They lose no playing time and before you know it it's their turn to leave for pro hockey. I think their are like 5 kids playing NHL hockey right now who would have been seniors this year. I'm thinking Motzko might have been able to find a place for Faber on the blue line this year.

No ESPNU here or at the lake, so I didn't watch it either. In fact, I found it's not that easy to find gamecast info online either. Did find 1 when there was ~ 5 minutes gone in the 2nd & it said the shots on goal were 31-13 against , it was 1-0 then. Kind of figured the Gophers were in for a long night after seeing that. Their goalie must've had a good night, just to keep 'em in it.

      It would be nice to watch some college hockey. The only time I can watch MSU Mankato is their home games. I listen to away games on the radio.
      It is fun to watch college hockey players develop with experience. I believe I have watched several players play as rookie freshmen. They get ice time, get experience and then sign with a pro team. Almost always a pro teams farm system but they do turn pro.

Couldn't watch it & I didn't look for a write up. I see they have an All American on defense & a freshman that could go #1 now. "Kind of simple," Gophers coach Bob Motzko said. "We had a great first period. We made a mistake in the last minute of the period, lost a little momentum there. . . . We had a couple critical [second period] mistakes against a really talented team, and that was it."
