After seeing the pictures that DE shared when he had a new road put in his property a couple years ago, I have been thinking it would be nice to hire someone to come clean up our trails and food plots on our hunting land. We have spent a lot of time and hours cutting them out of the wilderness with the tools we have (hand held brush cutters, chain saws, walk behind mulches, 4-wheeler with disc, etc. We pulled the trigger on hiring someone this summer and he spent a day helping us out. We are very satisfied with the work! We have already started planning for them to come back next summer and do more.

It really is amazing how having him run the mulcher down our existing trails leveled them off. They were pretty rough with stumps, dips, and holes. My mom always hated how you would bounce around in the side by side or 4-wheeler when you would drive down them. She would rather walk behind. Now they are a nice smooth path. The guy we hired was having a blast! He had one attachment that would grab and cut trees down and then he put the mulcher attachment on and it would chew a whole tree up in a minute or two. My dad really enjoyed watching the guy play around.

What a great project.  Yes that would be fun as heck running the skid steer.  Looks great afterwards.  How quick and a huge saving on the back.

Looks great and I know how much physical work it saves not to mention the results are many times better than you ever could get by yourself.

Trails look great.  We use a brush hog on the skid steer that works good but those fine mulchers do even better job.  They are also better at leveling things out more than the brush hog.   But either sure save a lot of time and work.
