My daughter and her husband were out and about in Mankato yesterday. They had to kill time so they went to a few big box stores and saw expensive dog food. Today, she shows me an ad for a 40 lb. bag of some food that costs real close to $104.00.
Seriously? Dog food. Food for dogs. We pay $28 for a bag of Purina and I complain about that. Good grief.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

My brothers dog has all kinds of allergies. Vet put it in a special dog food. Gets it through Amazon. $125.00 for I think 30 lbs.

We're all nuts...   How many folks will pay $2+ for a bottle of spring water or $6+ for a Pumpkin Spice Latte?

We went through that yuppie dog food craze which was ridiculous.  We are back to Purina just like Glenn.  Our dogs love it and we feed our cat Purina too and she loves it too.

I do believe dog food is like human food in that thers junk dog food, and good healthier dog food, but its gotten outa hand. Dont know what to buy anymore when it comes to the health of a dog, cause my zelda ate a rotten beaver tail no problem.  But issues can pop up later when their old.

I feed my boys NutriSource brand and it's now up to $65 for a 30-lb bag. It used to be closer to $50 but dog food, like everything else, seems to be creeping up in price. 🫤🫤

Just the regular dog chow. I think it's a 48 lb bag from Sam's Club. We're down to just one dog now so it lasts almost a month. At one time we had 4 dogs and the 52 lb bag would last almost a full week.

I made fun of my wife (it's my duty, you know) for her shopping for cat food. I do not like cats. Not even a little. But, I figure my bride has put up with me for close to 47 years so I guess I can tolerate a &#+!@ cat.
Anyway, she was looking and comparing and I told her that I didn't think she spent that much time looking for baby food when they were in diapers. She told me the children were just going to play with their food anyway. Why buy good food.

I feed Blue Buffalo.  I found that the dog eats a lot less and absorbs more of the food so I am not just picking it up in the yard.  She has continual food in her dish and will go over and pick out a nugget here and there.  She is a lab but still only eats about 2-3 cups a day and some days even less depending on what people food she gets.

I don't get too worked up about what others are feeding their dogs. We've been feeding Diamond Puppy to the Corgi and have been switching her over to adult food. The wife checked with the breeder and is trying a small bag of Diamond Premium Adult to see how Poppy likes that. It has a tag nearly identical to what they feed. She sorts it out first from the remainder of the puppy food being mixed with it. Looks like ~$47.00/50 lb. bag. Need to be careful not to get Corgi's too fat as it can lead to back problems down the road.
