Trailer jack

We have a 26' travel trailer.  4 years old.  Has a Ram 3500lb electric tongue jack.  The switch conked out so just ordered a new on for $9.95 on amazon.  Hard to believe it is that cheap. Chinese of course.  We have a rubber plug that opens to the shaft that turns when operating it.  I got a deep socket on it with my 3/8" 18 volt driver/impact.   It won't budge it.  I see the shaft turn when operating it electrically.  The new ones have a knob on them to manually raise them.  Do any of you have that kind?  Maybe I need to use a ratchet instead of the driver?

Just answered my own question.  I can turn it with a ratchet.  Must be too much torque for the little driver.  Never mind.  With the black knob on the new ones I would think it is hard to turn with hands only. It is a 10mm socket.  I will always have one in the camper tool box now.
