I need some ideas. I've got a couple of plastic kerosene jugs that I accidentally put old #2 diesel in. They sat for a couple of years like that. They have dark blotches in them that didn't get any better when I sloshed some kerosene around in the jugs.
I want to clean them out to put fresh kerosen in. I have a couple of other blue jugs that I store fuel for my torpedo heaters that might have a mixture of kerosene and #2 diesel.
I thought I could put a pint of kerosene in the dirty jugs, throw in some rock salt and shake it up. Any other ideas?
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

I think your over thinking or worried about it.  A little bit of cross mix isn't going to hurt anything. It will all burn.   :coffee:

Do not use salt in your mix.
Varnish remover will take it right out, pour in a cup or two, shake it up good, let it sit, shake it around again, drain, flush it with diesel.

I think you're right. It's fuel for a heater, not a nuclear reactor. Old people. Thanks.

Well, take your pick. I've owned about 12 sleds. Skidoo's, Polaris, Arctic Cat, Rupp and Yamaha.  ;)
