here is a good starter recipe. add some stuff
and make it your own!

Cadillac Jacks BBQ sauce
2 cups catsup
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon molasses
2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Accent
1/2 teaspoon BBQ seasoning
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

Mix dry ingredients and set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients and bring to boil, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat and add spices. Simmer for 40 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Can be frozen for later use.

Thanks for bringing this back!  I'm gonna give this a try since I can't seem to find a sauce that is "just right" yet.

A couple questions-

-What's Accent?
Quote
1/2 teaspoon Accent
-What's BBQ seasoning?
Quote
1/2 teaspoon BBQ seasoning

Obviously I'm a novice-or I wouldn't be asking.  :doah:

Accent is a brand name for MSG.

No, you dont have to add MSG. Just put a little extra salt in or
leave it out too. Not that big of a deal with the taste. This sauce
is better then any store bought sauce!

I got some ribs on the smoker right now! Some hickory and
apple wood. Maybe make some onion rings too.
