Date: June 18th 2006 (Sunday)
Time: 7:00am to 2:00pm
Species: Walleye
Entry Fee: $20 per person (3 person teams)
Payouts: 1st, 2nd places.
1st place= 50% of the pot, plus individual plaques.
2nd place= 25% of the pot, plus individual plaques.
 
*Check in time: No later than 6:15 am at (TBD)
*Only 10 teams allowed, first 10 teams to mail in entry fees will be in tournament.
*All current Minnesota DNR regulations and slot limits will be observed.
*Only 8 fish per team will be allowed, all qualifying fish will be measured in total inches per team.
*One fish over 28? per team member allowed.
*Weigh in will be held at (TBD) at 2:15pm, all boats must be in sight of weigh in before 2:00 pm deadline
*The tournament will be held weather permitting, Tournament Director will return all entry fees less 25% fee, for purchasing necessary items (Plaques, ice, Propane, Oil, food etc?) All, if any left over monies will be split afterwards between all paid entrants.
*Tournament Director or Official Scorer have the right to disqualify any fish for any reason. (ie.; dead, bloated, smelly, reason to have suspicion etc..)
*Each team must carry a Marine radio, cell phone or FRS radio in boat at all times.

** Rules are subject to change without notice at Tournament Directors decision.

Might be a possiblity.  It is the week before my fishing partners and I's event on Minnetonka, so we might fish it during the week instead of the weekend.  His wife is about to pop out a kid anyday now so time is going to be cut short for him, I might have to gather some new partners for this.

Here is the link to the tournament, the tournament will be held on June 18th (Sunday) with a launch on Saturday night for those who would like to attend, we will have a bbq and beverages on the launch.

I think we're planning a family camping trip that weekend at Father Hennipen State Park. I'm not to sure about the tournament, but myself and the rest of the family might be up for the launch.

There has been a small change of plans for the launch portion only. Instead of going on a launch on Saturday June 17th, we will be having a get together at Mayflys cabin in Macs Twin Bay.

The get together will start at 2:00 pm Saturday June 17th and last all night. We will be grilling burgers, eating and socializing for a couple hours, then heading out to the lake around 4 or 5pm for a few hours of fishing, after fishing everyone is welcome to come back to the cabin for a campfire and socializing.

Mayfly and I will provide the Hamburgers, buns, Ketsup, mustard, cheese and onions.

We will be looking for a few volunteers to bring Paper plates, towels, napkins, plasticware and a few side dishes or snacks. Also please bring your own beverages for the evening.

The Tournament on Sunday June 18th is still a go, nothing has changed.

The reason for cancelling the Launch was simple, we had no idea how many people were going to show up, most launches run $500 to $550 and are required to pay in advance, without knowing an accurate head count, it was too risky to pay for the launch and hope that 20 people showed up.

Please come join us for this get together, it should be a great time and a chance to meet other members.

As far as lodging.... Everyone will have to find their own, There is room to throw up a few tents at the cabin, if this will work for you, please let us know.

The deadline to register for the MNO Walleye Tournament is Monday June 5th, your entry fee must be received by June 5th to participate.

I need the 2 weeks notice to order the plaques, and finish up some minor details, so an accurate headcount is necessary.

Pat - I wish I could give you a solid answer.? I'll be up there, but have company coming from Colorado.? Not sure how long they are staying or what the plans are.? I'll probably try to make the launch (I'm on the NW side out of Garrison) if there is room for a last minute addition.? Sunday probably won't work.

Unless something drastically changes before early Tuesday morning June 6th, We will be cancelling the Mille Lacs Walleye Tournament, I understand that many of you are interested in the tournament, but very few have taken the time to register so far. So, as of now the Tournament is officially cancelled.

We will still be having the weekend get-together at Macs Twin Bay starting on Saturday afternoon.

WE ARE OUT...  Wedding and a B-day party for Andy and I have stuff to do Saturday night.  We will be on Tonka pre-fishing our tournament if we can get out.

Fathers Day is Sunday, the get together is all day Saturday and Saturday night. I'll be heading back home at around 930am on Sunday to spend time with my father and my kids.

That gives me friday night to fish, Saturday to fish and be at the get together, Sunday early morning to fish and still be home by 11am on Fathers day.

The tourney has been cancelled partly due to that reason. MAyeb next time. Saturday is still on.
