What is the relavance of the "add to buddy list" link when viewing my profile? Just a general question... What does adding someone to my buddy list do?

It bounds you by law to supply that person with beer for life. ::cheers::

Besides your buddy buying you beer, if you add them as a "Buddy" it will make their name appear in Bold on the "who's online" list to the right.  It just makes it easier for you to see when your friends are online at MNO.   ::cheers:: ::drunks::

Besides listing your Buddies in bold, it also tells you how many of your buddies are active online at the time:
