Looks to be a great day here in Southern MN! I will be helping a buddy plant a bundle of trees he purchased for the DNR in his pasture today...what an awesome day for that!

If we got done at a decent time, my boy and I are gonna hit the water later for some panfish action. Wish us luck!  ::fishing::

well i made it though the weekend i'm still alive and i did't fall in the water ..

was out on opener with Capt Kev had a great time thanks Kev ..and stayed high and dry ..of course a few fish did too..

Another windy, but nice day here in S Central MN. Just had breakfast with my buddy Holdemtwice and off to pick up my son from Kindergarten and maybe go do a little fishin. I hear the Crappies and Sunnies are biting pretty hard over in Waseca this week, so off we go.  ::rockon::

Yes, I grew up and graduated in Waseca. We fished Clear Lake alot. I haven't been out on Clear recently, but I will be changing that over the next few weeks. I have several friends and contacts that still live in town and fish Clear Lake all summer.

North and NE corners along the weed beds have always been good for Walleye and Northern.

SW corner by the old boathouse and South shore in front of Barneys are full of Crappies, Sunnies and Walleye.

NW corner (west of the Country Club) has always been the Bullhead mecca for the Iowa fisherman that come up to stay at Kiesler's Campground...LOL


Don't overlook Loon Lake though either for Sunnies, Crappies, Bluegills and some nice Walleye. A buddy of mine said the DNR was just out at Loon a little while ago milking eggs for stocking and they were netting some nice 38-40" Walleye along with lots of panfish as big as the palm of your hand--going close to or just over a pound probably.
