I'll start............
I gave my mom and mother n law a homemade fresh blueberry, strawberry, rasberry and blackberry dessert and a big bouquet of lilacs and also a nice visit with my girls (who were all dressed up)which they enjoyed the most...............

As for what I received.... You'll like this one.....

I came home from the cabin my husband had to work all week-end and he had a big present for me from him and the girls.......

I opened it and it was a new G-LOOMIS jacket (wind and rain proof) I kept looking in the box and said cool I got a new rod and reel.......my husband just kind of looked at me and said no you didn't you got a jacket....... I said you got the jacket free didn't you?....... nope just a jacket.... I felt like an idiot,

You see at Christmas time he wrapped up a  polar jacket that he got free with a fish house so I thought this was the same sort of thing...my bad.....I love my new jacket and we did get a couple of good laughs out of it.

Anyways what did you get or give?         LUVNLIFE

Mommy in law got a gazillion gift cards for Home Depot (she likes their garden area  ::hittingself::) and a T-shirt with all the grand kids names around a cross and it says GRANNY across the top.  She was all teary eyed.  Momma Grute got a 24 speed bike.  She had a bunion removed so she cant jog at all any more and really REALLY wants to do some cardio so "the kids" pitched in, broke the old piggy banks and got her a set of wheels.   ::dancinred::

Mrs. Woody received (from myself and the kidlets) the mother's ring she's been wanting.
My Mom and Grandma both got a nice wicker basket (for a 9 x 13 cake pan) that we picked up from the Amish.
And my monster-oops  :whistling: mother inlaw got some glass prisms that she likes, to hang in her windows.  Not to mention a day free from the usual-no meals to make, no dishes to do.  It's tradition in the family, that on Mother's Day the men make a nice meal and the women take it easy all day.  (Mom actually doesn't know what to do with herself).

*Mothers day weekend is a busy one in our family.  Not only is it Mothers day, but also opening fishing weekend, my daughter's birthday, and now my neice was born a few days before.  ::rockon::

My folks live in Florida so I ordered flowers from Pro Flowers. (Great service by the way) Also, had flowers delivered to my wife, who had to work on Mother's Day,(dang health care field). Then took her out for dinner and drinks.
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

I spent my Mothers Day with my husband fishing on my favorite lake in Garrison, it was a beautiful calm night, it couldn't have been more perfect and we caught a few nice crappies to boot!  The next morning my husband and our 3 kids went fishing again on the same lake.  It was a nice sunny day outside, and the kids had a blast catching some sunnies.  There is nothing else more than that, that I would of wanted.  It was a perfect day. That night we all took my mom out for pizza at the Green Lantern.  I'm very blessed and thankful for all that I have, which is so much.  GirlGuide

My sister and I gave my mom some flowers and a card. We're also going to put a fire pit in for them. Last year we put a pond in their backyard.

My son and I gave Mommy a nice arrangement of yellow, orange, purple and red tulips, made her lunch and supper on the grill, and I am also working on building a landscape block retaining wall/planter around the back and side of our house for her this week while I'm on vacation from work. She has been wanting this since I completed a Hosta garden for her around the side and back of our garage last summer. (I can't wait to go back to work again next week so I can relax a little... :ROTFLMAO:)
