Do you want to know how much it cost me to fill my truck this morning to head to my secret lake? I didn't think so!

Do you want to know how much it cost me to fill the gas tank in my boat? I didn't think so!

Do you want me to continue to b*tch about the money I have spent in gas the past few weeks? Christ! I had to quit using my auger this winter!

It is time for a revolt!

Or maybe it is time buy stock in moped companies :o

Driving me nuts. What are they paying for gas in places like Canada? Anyone know?

When will it stop. >:(

My Suburban was $102 last week to fill. :o

Someone sent me an email a coulpe of weeks ago, i usually delete these types of messages, but i did read it. It said that we should all boycott one major gas station, if everyone avoids buying gas at one of the main stations, it would force them to lower there price, causing the others to have to stay competitive.

I really believe (hope) this could work, what do i have to lose?

Do you really want to know what they are paying in other Countries?  In 2002 I was in Spain, gas was $2.40 (American dollar) a Liter.  At 2.2 liters per gallon, that came to $5.28 a gallon.  I talk to people in Alaska daily who are sick of the dang city hippy's (so worried about the environment, but to affraid of wild animals to leave the city) whining about drilling in the Tundra.

I told the wife that if gas got to $4/gal., I'm buying a scooter to get to and from work.  Yes, I will look like a total friggin' loser, but I'll be laughing all the way to the bank...$60 to fill the Trooper last week :o...
80 miles/gallon on a scooter is sounding pretty good right now.
Hey, I figure if Souchery and Rookie can own one, I can own one and still maintain what little dignity I have left. ;D

I blow through a tank a week at least just back and forth to work, home, and school. All this travel could be done on a little scooter or moped.

I think it's time to save the $45.00 a week.

Where is the local scooter dealer?

I know that I am going to burn up last years boat gas in my boats and not in my truck as I ususally do.

I took the insurance off of my truck long ago and put a trailer hitch on my little beater escort that gets 30 mpg.  The truck only gets 9 mpg :o. It only gets used once in a while when I absolutely need it.

I am going to drill a hole in Alaska.  Then with the dirt I take out, I am going to fill a hole in New Orleans.  Thank God they passed that grant to get rolling on Hydrogen production!!!

Since I'm a full time guide. For the past 3 years I've raised my rates in small increments to cover the ga$ price increases. Buy the start of summer and into fall I realize that I should have raised my rate$ even higher to start with.

My friends tell me I should add a ga$ surcharge to my trips. That would mean I'd have to call 41 clients that have already booked advance trips and give them the bad news. Don't think that would go over to well. So I'll just have to bite the bullet this year.

Every day I burn a half tank of ga$ round trip not counting the boat fuel. Round trip for me is 3 hrs of driving. I'd fish a closer lake, but the fishing sucks close to home and I've developed a heck of a milk run & 68% repeat clientele on Lake Geneva, WI after 30 yrs. Next season I'll have to do some serious figuring on my rates if I plan on guiding after retirement.

Even when we go up to the BWCA I would run 40 miles a day on the water daily. Last year I did cut that down and just worked harder and longer in some of the high percentage areas. The wife likes to drive from Moose Lake to the Fortune Bay Casino on Vermilion 2 times a week during our 3 wk vacation and that's 100 mile$ round trip each time.

Gas at the resort cost$ a dollar a gallon more than in town and that's understandable. Every time we go to town I fill up 3...6 gal cans of ga$ and hall it back to camp in my trunk (I Hate doing it, but that's 18 bucks saved each time).
