CROSBY - Oars-N-Mine Bait and Tackle, Jesse Williams, 22640 Hwy 6 N (218-546-6912)

Panfish have turned on strong, and so have the bass. Big bluegills have been coming in from nearby lakes, and the crappie bite has been consistent, especially in the evening hours. Small plastics have been the best for the bigger panfish; specifically small tubes; Peglegs and Puddle Jumpers fished either under a bobber or worked slowly in and along the weeds.

Walleyes have not slowed from last week, but fewer guys are chasing them making reports almost non-existent. The few reports have been from Pelican, North Long, Whitefish, the Mississippi and Rabbit, with enough action to keep guys going back. Look for the best bite to be on crankbaits.

Pike are active as ever, sucking up minnows under a bobber or crankbaits and spinners fished along the breaks and over weeds.

Bass action is getting better each day, with lakes like Horseshoe, Serpent, West Rabbit, Lower Mission and Clearwater being the best bites. Portsmouth and Huntington mines are still cranking out rainbow and brook trout on a consistent basis in the mornings and evenings, with a few fish picked up periodically throughout the day on Powerbait. Stop in for the up-to-the-minute fishing report 7 days a week!!!
