Dog sprayed by Skunk - Right now!

So I heard my dog barking about 5 minutes ago and started calling her. She comes running and in the house and about 2 seconds later I smell....the smell! She has bee sprayed by a damn skunk and now my house stinks!!!!! What the heck do I do?? I know where she is sleeping tonight!

Use Skunk Off, I always keep some on hand, it dilutes the smell. Concentrated downy detergent works to. But not as good!

Vinegar does it (might be bad) - One cup of vinegar into the bathtub and fill with some water. Scopp/pour the vinegar water over the pet several times. Then wash with regular shampoo.

Here's another one to try.  My brother in law's dog got sprayed and did the mad dash all through his house including on his bed while his wife was -- WAS -- still sleeping.  OMG that must have been a bad scene.  Anyway, he said this was the only thing that helped him and he tried the tomatoe juice, over the counter stuff bla bla bla.  Here ya go and good luck:

a bucket
a scrub brush - soft to medium bristles

a large bottle of hydrogen peroxide
1 Cup of baking soda
1 Cup of liquid hand soap - something soft on the skin - not too industrial

To make a double batch, double everything except the hydrogen peroxide.

Mix everything, apply it, rinse it and repeat when she's dry again. 

He said they took about 6 baths in that stuff.

Grute said it well. The baking soda and vinegar w/break the molecular structure of the skunk spray (thiol). The hand soap is for some better smell and softer on the skin as the vinegar and baking soda are by no means a moisturizer and don't smell as good.
Anyway, that's about as good as it gets.
I've tried the tomato juice and all that does is make your dog smell like skunk w/tomato juice.
If you want to do a search, look at some chemical that breaks a thiol down as that's what's in a skunks spray that makes it so tough to alleviate.

Update:

It turned out that my dog did not get sprayed. I still do not know what happened. She came in and stuck horribly and I kicked her out. The next morning I worked and when I came home I could not smell it on here. Thought maybe it was my allergies and bum nose but I never smelt it again. It smelled so strong when she came in that night, can't explain what happened!? ???

Oh well....I guess that is a good thing!

I did have a similar thing happen where my dog came in smelling like skunk and later in was hardly smellable(new word) but i figured out that she had stepped in the spray and it wore off of her pads quickly,this is assuming the skunk sprayed and the spray was on the grass and she walked in it
