To keep the theme going that Grute started !!!!

Invited a few friends over to help me build a deck this past weekend
This deck is all reclaimed Redwood that was heading for the burn pile. A little (or should I say alot) sanding and running the boards through a planer. This is what it looks like now. Just have to finish the railing.

The post are 6 x 6 redwood also

My friends did most of the work, since they are carpenters. I just did what they told me to do., like get them a beer when they were thirsty ::cheers:: ::cheers:: ::cheers::

I was short on the 2 x 2's and a couple of other pieces, so Sunday I ripped the wood down to size, ran it through the planer, and sanded it.  Hopefully they will came back tonight and help me finish it, or better yet just get it started and I will finish it.

That's me too.  I do what I can but need a real carpenter at times.  Got a couple of close friends (yes I know its surprising) that are carpenters who helped with the technical stuff.

Looks good.  Keep up the good work.

Thats a nice deck! I like how you used recycled wood and ended up with a dandy deck. I too built a deck from cedar a couple weeks ago. I will post some pictures when I can figure out how.

Heres a picture, hope this works

It must be deck season, as we put up a new deck this last week-end too. I bought old decking from my brother but it worked out great. A person can not go wrong with a 32ft by 10ft deck for $100. Yep I am smiling!!!!!!!!!!!! LUVNLIFE
