It's been a very busy, but good day for me here as well...trying to stay ahead of the game today and get out of work at a decent time to start the weekend off right!

We'll have to get together this winter and do some ice fishin Big Slick. I haven't been out on the ice since about 1984 with some high school buddies. That would be fun!

We got our errands ran, hit the dr's office and are now home for lunch before heading off to open swim. Not sure if we will get any fishing in later on or not...have to see what the weather brings on around supper time. It's a warm one today, but doesn't feel as humid as yesterday so far. Got the sprinklers going in the front yard and time to eat lunch.

Back from swimming, stopped and got the extra propane tank filled up on the way home for commercial free grilling and heading out for a little fishing before supper....hope the fish are hungry today!!  ::

Left work early today to take Lil Grute Dudette to the Dr.  She broke her arm a few months ago and needs the rod taken out now.  Ran some errands after that then back home to chat with my relatives in KY.  I'll be down that way at the end of this month.

Hello friends...well my son and I did make it out fishing for a couple hours late yesterday over in Waseca on Clear Lake. He pulled in several small bluegills, a few largemouth and a couple decent perch. We were fishing on the west side of the lake along the new walking trail just south of Thompson's Boathouse. The algae and weeds on the west side are terrible right now in the shaded areas. We were fishing out about 10-20 feet from shore in about 3-4 feet of water. We were using chartruese jig heads tipped with Crawlers the entire time.

If you head over to Waseca plan on possibly walking a ways to get to a fishing pier. They are in the process of completing the walking trail around the E and S ends of the lake and also have reconfigured the road across from Kiesler's Campground so they could also reconfigure the parking lot and boat landing areas to make them safer for the users. The road now comes out at a 90 degree angle to Hwy 14 just east of Kiesler's mini golf course and east of where the old boat landing parking lot was. The parking lot was moved further to the west, closer to the boat landing and expanded. They were doing curb and gutter work and blacktopping the lot when we went through there yesterday.
