Nick Names--GG's

When GG was about 1year or so,she would go in the kitchen and empty the bread drawer and sit it..She would always be so quiet about this and you would never hear her,so we started calling her MOUSE ,Quiet as a MOUSE . Well the name stuck!! And almost everyone calls her that..When she went to school her name was Mousey and that is what she wrote on her school papers..But she sure isn't quiet as a Mouse now!!! So let's here about some more nick names!!!!!!

When I was a youngster, back about the time dirt was invented, I had these 2 devilish Uncles who hung the moniker "Fibber" on me. Sadly, they are both gone now but if they were still alive, I know they would still be calling me "Fibber." For those of you too young to remember, the name "Fibber" came from an old radio show,"Fibber McGee and Molly!" Fibber McGee's claim to fame was that he always told the most outlandish, stretching the truth, tales. Not outright lies, mind you, but right close in the same neighborhood. He also had this closet in their apartment that was crammed full of junk. Their shtick was that Molly was always telling him,"Whatever you do, don't open that closet door!" And of course, he always would. What would follow would be the most ungodly banging and rattling and screeching sound effects! This would have been a totally different world to all you 21st century techies out there. You actually were expected to use your imagination! I've gotten off track though so I beg your indulgence. These 2 devilish Uncles I spoke of earlier always claimed I used to tell taller tales than Fibber McGee when I was a youngster so that's why they called me that. They couldn't prove it though so I was always suspicious of there reasoning. Where they got that idea, I don't know. After all, as any of my friends can tell you, I never speak anything but the unvarnished truth!(Yeah,right!)LOL!   :ROTFLMAO: DIRTBALL2

Good story dirt 8)I do remember the old radio stories..Up here in the Brainerd area I get radio station 97.5 out of Park Rapids and it plays some of the old radio stories everynight about 5 or 6pm. It if fun to listen to. I try and see if I know any of them,so far none,but good listening..Also during the day they play the oldies--real oldies..Had the Grand kids up during Spring break and they wondered what I had on, said they were going to here some good music-music when U could understand the words..Also that day had gone into the house and came out and a story was on and they aked what was this..Told them this is how we listen to the radio--all the old stories. If remember Sat.night was a dandy one to listen too.Thanks dirt for sharing--sure got off on another subject!!!
