price of steelshot shotgun shells

is $9 a box a good price for 3" BB's, Federals steel shot shells?

not sure Chris... I'll let you know after I swing by Capara's this morning.  no matter what, $9 a box for 3 inch BB is pretty good I think, from what I've been able to see.  they also have it in 2's and 4's.

A little off the subject - but I heard that because OSHA is going to enforce stricter rules for clean rooms for lead shot that the cost is antisipated to go up 70%.

I work at federal, yes the prices will be going up, industry wide. 70% I cant anticipate that much, but shotgun shell prices in my mind are due to go up, which is a bummer, just like decoys getting jacked up in price this year because of the petro.

here is the dope guys... shell prices, shotgun and rifle, are going to go up 10-15% sept 1st.  and then again on the first of the year.  if you haven;t bought yet, buy now.
Capara's up in blaine is where I got 3" BB mags (federal) for $9 a box.  they have about 20 or so case?? left at that price.  what Todd doesn't sell in the store, he'll bring to the game fair.  he also has a deal on #6 shot steel for pheasants too... but I don't remember the price on those.
