Crow Wing River Fishing

Just spent 3 days on the river fishing for what ever bite the lures ..

We put in 25 up stream of where we were going to come out at ..

Day 1 went kinda like this
got on the river a little late in hopes of finding a few fish we desided it was best just skip fishing for the time being and find a place to camp for the nite and we did then it was time for supper .so we tryed to find a little fish for that and came up with a nice 2.5 pound walleye it was enough for both of us and a few eggs it hit the spot..

Day 2 started out in a rain storm but it was going to get hot later in the day so we did't mind getting a little wet.
caught a few nicer fish rite away then not much after the sun came out and the temps hit in the high 90's off the river for a few hours and let the temps cool down to the mid 80's what a diff. it made

Day 3 ended in a nice short paddle down the river and finding a few spots where we had to get out and drag the canoe over the sand bars i was kinda glad the canoe was so much lighter ..

Sorry no pic's of this trip but hoping as fall goes on there will be more trips like this with pic's ..

Well at least you gave it your best shot!  It was way too hot down here too.  I don't even like to fish when it is this hot, unless I can be in the water swimming with them!   ::fishing::  gg

Yep its true Luv and I got proof right here.  I met him at the State Fair one year.  He was the volunteer lamp post light bulb replacer since he could do it flat footed.  Mighty nice of ya Icey.
