Funny story.
A buddy and me were up on Red.  It was mid-day and we were in the hard house working the vexilars.  This red blob on the vexilars was going back and forth to my side of the house and my buddy?s?.  I changed lures about 4 times before I dropped down one of the cameras to see what it was.  This pig was circling under the house.  So I reached for one of the sucker minnows, threw on a big hook, slit the sucker down the belly, and dropped it down the hole.  We watched as the sucker slowly sunk down the hole and past the camera, where I stopped it.  With in 10 seconds the pike was back on the screen went over and in haled the sucker.  I opened up the bail and we went down to our knees laughing so hard.  My buddy pulled up the camera, I set the hook, and about 8 minutes later and a lot of tears from laughing so hard, I had this 36? Northern in the house.
To this day I never laughed so hard while catching a decent sized fish.  I probably should have lost it a couple of times.

Good times!

Thanks for sharing. That is a sweet fish. I caught a 38" a few years ago...my biggest but not through the ice. That would be wild!
