I think I created a new one here.  I was going to try Boneheads meatloaf recipe in the Beef section.  After I had it all mixed up, I looked at my stove and its on the fritz.  So now Im lookin at these piles of raw ground beef with all this stuff mixed in and I KNOW I have to cook it or its wasted.  So I decide to pat out burgers and grill it.  I had to go get Swan from football and told Hockey #12 to flip em...He's done it before so even though he's a young buck, he can grill a burger.  Well at one point he sees a huge puff of smoke come out of the grill so he goes over to check it out.  When he opens the lid  WOOSH   a flame higher than his head nearly burned him bald.  So he shuts off the burners but the flame doesn't go out.  So he pulls the burgers off and starts tossing water onto the lava rocks.

See the meat loaf recipe calls for shredded cheese and with no way to pull out every little piece, I just let it go.  I didn't think it would be a flaming inferno.  My daughter, Lil Grute Dudette was across the street and said it looked like a REALLY REALLY BIG BON FIRE.  She's seen plenty of em too so she knows what she's talkin about.  I guess the cheese just filled all the little crack and crevises of the lava.  Then combine that with all the grease thats dripped from other burgers and such and you got your self a nice propane powered fondu set.  :chef:  I probably could have cooked on that for hours.   ;D

This concludes "Grute's Grillin Tips" for today.  Tune in tomorrow when we try to grill stew in tupperware.   :chef:

oops2.gif  I know a fella that has a spot about 3 X 3 on his deck where he laid some tile/brick then framed it to match the deck.  Looks and works great.
