  • My FIRST duck!!
Im a first time duck hunter, and last weekend was GREAT for me.  Last fall I deer hunted but only watched the duck and pheasant hunting as I wasnt comfortable with a gun yet.
I got my first duck!!  I shot it, my pup retrieved it, I cleaned it, and then..... I cooked it!!  It was the best thing.  I got dinner for my family for the first time that I did everything by myself.  The feeling of accomplishment was great for me.  Granted, next weekend I better get at least 3 as one duck didnt go far!! LOL

My first duck was a woody too.  I'll never forget it.  I even took him to the taxidermist I was so happy about it.  Well you keep on keepin on.  Try the upland birds, practice with trap and sporting clays...just always set your goal on having fun and you'll win every time.

Way to go Harmony!  You'll never forget the first one.

At the duck shack last weekend, my buddy and I were recalling our first ducks.  Mine was over 40 years ago, and I remember it like it was yesterday.  And I'm still building memories.

With this weather, I wish I'd of been there yesterday, but will head back out tommorrow.  Can't wait!
