Well it seems that this past week and into this weekend fall has really arrived. I am now starting to see those "fall colors" in the area. I live in the Forest Lake area and although some of the trees around here (not sure which types) have lost their leaves already we have not seen the colors like we are right now. It seems a couple weeks late. I remember when I was younger we used to head up to Bayfield Wisconsin every year for the Apple Fest (1st weekend of October) and during that week it was full blown fall from here to there. It seems like we are off a few weeks...anyone else noticing this? I'm not complaining ;D Maybe winter will be a few weeks off as well.

Hey Mayfly, yep, I think yer right....maybe like three weeks off.  Not like I keep a journal or somthing, but while grouse hunting and fixin stands and stuff we've noticed that too.  With the deer opener early this year, to hunt the peak rut, you'll need to be bow hunting in late December!  I really dont remember grouse hunting in late october in northern MN and having so many leaves in the trees and still having the kalidescope of colors yet!  Does this mean snow for the fishing opener this spring?       t-pout 8)
