These are some of my favorite stories!! Share one if you have one....will make for some damn good reading ;D

So I read a story about a deer hunter supposed to be true stories and this particluar one was about a giant old buck.

One day this guy is walking through the woods and he sees a doe coming right his way. The wind is perfect so he sits down to watch and to his surprise is a small buck right on her tail...out of nowhere then appears a giant buck with the biggest rack he has seen face to face He is about 60 yards from these deer maybe closer. Anyways, the big buck chases the small buck off and the he apporaches the big buck. He sniffs her and she is receptive and they do their thing. Then they are standing there after and the wind swirls and the doe is the first to smell him. She stands at alert and then he sees that the small buck is still there as well and he reacts the same way as the doe. The gig is up. What happens next is what is the best part of the story...Rather than standing at attention like the doe and the small buck he drops to his knees. The big buck then begins to slowly back out on his knees almost laying on the ground. The doe and small buck both bound off flags a flying and he can still see the big rack snaking his way out of there and the poof!!! He is gone. Never saw him run never saw anything. Just slowly crawled the heck outta there!

I don't tell it anywhere near as good as I read it but what a cool story and the things they will do. I have heard stories about big bucks doing this and they never cease to amaze me.

Anyone else??

I have heard stories of bucks doing a belly crawl to remain out of sight.  They don't get big by being stoopid.   :imstupid:  Can't say I've ever seen it but my gut tells me the wise bucks are seeing me first and tip toeing or belly crawling away.
If ya don't know where ya are, go back to da beginnin.
