A couple of the locals have ventured on to the ice in the last day or two.Most have gone just past the last sandbar in 6 feet of water.JR told the wife he pounded the walleye at sunset but never had a bite until then. I'm never in a hurrry to get out on the thin ice but a freash walleye dinner would be good.Jeff said he may venture out later today .

I have the shakes.  The report is 4 inches of ice.  I'll try to confirm this tommorrow.

Me too Greg, thanks for the report. It sould only be a few days for you now. 4" should be enough to keep the wind from tearing it up.

heard today in the weekly phone calls guys are walking out to the 6-7 foot break and getting walleeys.  didnt get the ice thickness report though... just that they were walking out that far.
