I caught this little spat between two does by a corn pile I put out after season.  So far not a single antlered buck showing up, but still getting a little excitement!

I think I should get my camera out there again.

What kind of camera do you use?? I use the Moultrie 4.0 and it works great and the reviews are always good but one thing noone seems to mention is that is does not work well in the cold!! Everytime I pick my camera up there is about 120 pictures on it. When it is cold I get about 40 pictures. It just shuts down. Does this happen with your camera??

I am using a Stealthcam DIGRC-XTRV.  This is a 3 mega pixel with a viewing monitor.  It uses batteries up faster than the newer models, but it will operate in 0 degree weather without a problem.  I usually get around 120 pics before the batteries are bust(with a 256mb card).  With the activity I get on bait that is around 2 days.  Not sure how long it would last if it was left on a less used trail.  My patience is only about 2 days anyway before I want to see what I have on there.  With rechargeable batteries and my new 15 minute charger it saves a whole lot of time and effort.  The charger came with a cigarette adapter so I can recharge my batteries while I'm hauling in the corn and just swap out the card.

I usually have mine over corn as well and it fills up in one night. With the cold though it won't last that night anymore so I loose it at about 3am.

Just after I read your post this morning I got an e-mail from a buddy who sent me this pic from his friends trail cam. This is from a spot where we pheasant hunt and you can see why in the picture ;D

Tim, that looks like a place I almost bought some land by. It was by Sunburg. Just south of a Glacial ridge bar.
