Clue No. 1

You've joined the hunt for the regal runt

To prove searching does pay

Don't dig a hole or knock down a pole

And the golf course is out of play

Last year Jake took home the cake

With a clue a bit off level

This year we'll rinse off all our prints

Lest this hunt go to the devil

Clue No. 2:

The point of all this is so that you won't miss

Your big chance to grab all the cash

Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise

You'll have to do something quite rash

Your big chance to grab all the cash

Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise

You'll have to do something quite rash

Line 1: The point of all this is so that you won't miss

Near the Mississippi??

Line 2: Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise

A gal who was wise????

Line 3: You'll have to do something quite rash

A wise gal who did something quite rash by the Mississippi??

That seems like a lot in a clue especially for clue #2. But it gets the gears going thats for sure!!!!

CLUE 3

We've scanned the county to hide our bounty

And keep you on your toes

It may sound risible, but our puck's invisible

Although it might just stick to your nose.

Hmmmmmmm.... the part about the puck being invisible? It looked like they went from a slightly blue color to a clear one last year. Maybe they kept that one and it's in ice?

Rumor has it there are a lot of people at Shamrock park because of the pole in the park, in reference to clue #1, not a chance.

The tough part about right now is you could go to 10 parks in Ramsey County/St. Paul and make these clues match.

I'm hopping back and forth from here and the Pioneer board. I might have to take a step back and do some research ;)

Highland park has a lower park area called Walsh Park.

Streets around this area are Juniper Ln and Antonio Dr.

Any significance to those names?

This may be a stretch but there is a childrens book called "Juniper" (which is the prequel or sequel to "Wise Child" in which the female child Juniper grows wise... like I said maybe a stretch.

I'm going to have to get out tomorrow for a drive and get a closer look at a few parks. Its tough because it points at a few places. I like th ereferences to the street names at Phalen as well. Sophia surrounded by all the guys names for streets. That really is good.

I think it is 10k

Not worried about the money as it is just a fun even that the Pionner Press and St. Paul Winter Carnival have been putting on for years!

the closest I ever came to it was the year they hid the medalion in a brown lunch bag , in a sandwich, under the snow next to the trail at newel park in st.paul.
I used to live five blocks from there and when we figured out it had to be in that park, so did about a thousand other people who had nothing better to do.
we looked high and low but never found it.
turns out, we walked ten feet from it on our way home that night.

one time I found a medalion that said 1957 st.paul winter carnival on it.
it was about the size of a silver dollar. I thought I had found "the" medalion.
turns out they made a bunch of them back then and anybody could get one.
don't remember what I ever did with it???
take a kid hunting and fishing!!

THWACK KILLS!!

CLUE #5

There once was a clue that drove you-know-who

To threaten a heinous act

We'd use it again but we're afraid of his pen

My friend, that's an unfortunate fact
