I doubt he got anything even close to him the rest of the day due to smell coming from his fully loaded up underwear. That was definately too close for comfort.

That was really close. I have a friend that was deer hunting and had a bear cub climb the tree next to him and he started to make a little noise to scare it away and next thing he knows was her comes mom and starts to climb his tree. He was bow hunting at this time. The cub started trying to play by batting at him and mom was still on her way up. He was able to get the cub  to back off while he had enough time to put 1 arrow in to mom right through the neck. Mom went about 20 yards and fell over. He called dad and told him to bring the guns because he was not coming down till then. The DNR had to do a full investigation and cleared him after they looked at it and saw where he shot it. Talk about being scared.
If today was perfect. There would be no need for tomorrow.
