So, to answer Jeff's question, I attached them with a tapered stainless steel 1/4-20 machine screw with a nylon retaining nut. I counter sunk them below the surface to eliminate drag.

Short video, I kicked it.... and it slid better than before  :rotflmao:

It was actually PVC trim board....2.25" wide, fit the rails on the bottom of the sled to a tee....

i was at runnings the other day and was looking at the flipovers there. most where the eskimos, i actually thought the bench seats would be better????

the individual seats had pins you needed to deal with to put them up or take down?????

what dont you like about the bench HD??????

On a Frabill, the center of the bench is not supported (and has sunk 1 inch compared from the sides) , and the back padding is angled forward and not comfortable. I have to figure out how to support the center of the bench, and I would think a boat seat would offer a better back support than what the bench provides.

Again, I'm looking to make it lighter and easier to pull on early ice. Once the ice is thick enough, I'll be looking into a drop down type of house.

I went out fishing yesterday evening, It pulled (fully loaded) 100% better than before.
Before, I'd have to have both hands on the rope or have it around my waist. Last night was one hand, pulling for 300 yards  :happy1:
