I don't think Cody would be able to start the old Dodge, we would have to get Lee to help him..

:reporter; Final push for the championship.

It seems that Borgie's Raiders is about to embark on a monumental task to leap from their eighth place position. This Thursday I will taking Borgie out to Lake Geneva for the first time this year. Her mission will to be to tie into a 37" northern to take over first place.

If this is not to be, she  :queen: may have to settle for a 34" northern which would secure a second place position for The Raiders. I told her that if she can pull her team from 8th place to first or second I would wash all the dishes and do all the laundry for the next two weeks.  :imstupid:

PS. After reading all this she made me add all the cooking also. Now I'm not sure if I'm pulling for her or not? :doah:

With a forecast of 58 for Saturday it might be the last day of fishing for the Puddle Humper. Of course I will then know if Hunter caught anything so I can still get in the last fish caught!   :rotflmao:

 :reporter;

Well, I took the team captain of  Borgies Raiders out fishing yesterday and she had set her goal for a 34 or 37 inch northern. This would have moved her team into 2nd or 1st place. As hard as she tried she only came close within a 1/2 inch of taking over 2nd place catching a 33 1/2 incher. We still had a great time with all the beautiful colors cool temps and light winds.

I just talked to  :queen:  and asked her if she wanted to give it one more shot before I wrap it up for the year and she said "We'll See". So, what does " We'll See" mean? You guys that are also married have all experienced that non answer. So stay tuned to see if Borgies Raiders is going to try once more for that trophy pike and a first place finish.

"We'll See"??????

Shish up about those chores partner :doah:

No she's not posting it since her eyes are on 1st or 2nd place only. Besides we wanted to release it fast after a quick photo. No sense of keeping it out of the water to long unless It was the size she was looking for. I told her she still has a chance for that bigger one if she's willing to give it another shot.

That one was caught on a Troll Devil chartreuse with red spots trolling at 3 to 3.5 Mph over 20 ft of water. Even though that spoon only runs about 5 to 6 ft deep, most of the big pike were suspended and will gladly chase anything that gives off a flash when they are in the right mood.

What do you mean " If it ain't rainin"? This is crunch time! Fourth down and goal with three seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter. "There is no tomorrow!" Time to take it to the limit. Remember, your two team mates is counting on you  :drinking:

"When the goin gets tuff...Hunterdown gets goin"

Good luck bro  :happy1:

PS. When your out there in the soggy cold rain, don't let those folks watching you out the window at the bar bother you cuz they don't know what their missing.  :doah:

I will be attending a wedding tomorrow, Temps are forecasted to be in the 50's but I am already commited to the wedding. I will however be thinking of you Hunter and your quest to get just one more big one. One week out from the end of the challenge and it looks like only Hunter is taking time off from hunting to go fishing.   All I can say as I will be sitting inside the warmth of the Lodge secure in First place is  :moon:  :rotflmao:

Bobby,

I was going to send you and Big Slick a private msg but I figured others may want to see what they have to look forward to next year. I was thinking about the grand slam championship rings for this years victory. There are 2 styles I liked, but wanted to know which one you guys liked best. Or, maybe we should just each have 2 rings a piece?

What were your thoughts on this? Would it be like to much bling since were already wearing the championship gold chains at the awards banquet?

Well I think we should have two rings! With the challenge necklace that GG is getting us and with only one ring that would put the Puddle Humper out of balance. I think the two rings and necklace will maintain the balance in the boat. Nice rings Lee,  :happy1:  Are those the ones that have been on order since the beginning of the challenge for us?  :whistling:

No, the rings were ordered during the second week after the challenge began. It wouldn't look good if the word got out that they were ordered to far in advance. The engraving with our names and dates was done immediately upon the initial ordering.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to who we could use as ring bearers during the awards ceremony? I was thinking of ~GG~ since she was so instrumental in firing everyone up with all that smack talk before her team tumbled from the top.

Borgie just saw the championship rings and so she wants them for her team (Borgies Raiders). With only two days left I told her we could give it another chance for her to get that 37 inch pike and to take over 1st place. Hang on for the results tomorrow. Will it be the thrill of victory  :dancinred: or the agony of defeat???  :banghead:
